Guest guest
Last Monday I was sent to L & D for an NST because of protien in the urine and bp of 130/80.... all was fine at the moment. Monday I went in again for my weekly appt... this time my BP was 150/80... more protien... and I was having semi regular contractions. My OB wanted Jonah born that day.. and not wait until his scheduled C Section on 11/4/04. I was originally supposed to have Jonah at the West Boca Birth Pavillion... (omg... the place is AWESOME).. but the OR was booked.. so I was scheduled at Memorial West Medical Center. The Maternity ward was okay compared to WEst Boca... had I not seen West Boca... I would have thought Memorial West was great.. LOL Anyhow.. all my nurses were very kind and did thier best to preserve whatever modesty and dignity I had left.... My Anest Dr was AWESOME.... walked me step by step thru the spinal... and we did it first try with very minimal discomfort. The actual C Section was borderline fun... my OB was having a blast... cracking jokes and chatting with everyone as if we were at a cocktail party.. LOL Jonah did swallow ALOT of fluid.. ( remember.. I had 2x as much) and did require ALOT of suction and some supplemental o2 for a few hours... but all was fine. He has a 'special " penis.. sorta bulbus and almost looks as if it was circ'd?? Anyhow... I am holding off on the circ for now... and will be consulting with a Ped Urologist. His uretha looks okay per the regular Ped... Breast feeding hasn't been working out so well... I am having a hard time with him latching on... my breasts are 3x the size of his head... We keep trying... but end up with a bottle. Jonah is a snacker... eating about an ounce every hour.... Well.. Now I am about to fall over tired.. .. Here are the pictures on our webpage.... http://www.love-my-kids.com K in Ft Lauderdale mommy to: Noah - officially 2!
