Guest guest
Mt son is 6 yo and we have made big strides, yet he still sounds robotic. We have done speech, social groups, listening program, and now Moyers program with a mic so he hears himself. Somedays, when he is tired, he sounds very choppy. A definitive pause after each word. He was in ABA for a while, than we switched to floor time. A therapist said it is b/c he is not speaking from his limbic part of his brain, he lacks the emotion to make speech fluid. I do not know - he has emotions - it just seems as though he is thinking about what to say more than to worry about how it sounds. What can I do to help him? Thx!
