Feeling Tired

One of the things I noticed with this pregnancy is 1) if I don't eat

every couple of hours, I feel sick and; 2) man am I tired!

My doctor told me that eating small meals every couple of hours is

what he wants, plus, when I mentioned that I was worried about my

protien intake, he said, with GB ladies he worries more about their

not getting in enough carbohydrates than enough protien.

I did find out that I have a genetic abnormality that prevents my

body from absorbing folic acid properly. (By the way, about 1/2 of

all women have it according to his nurse practitioner.) They upped

my folic acid to a prenatal that contains folic acid, upped my B

vitamins to every day using a prenatal that I take twice a day so,

all in all, I am taking 3 prenatals per day. I have to say however,

that although I am tired, since upping the B vitamins, it has been

much better.

I have to call my surgeon and find out about the folic acid. As part

of the therapy to help absorb the folic acid, they want me to take

one baby asprin per day and as most of you know asprin with a gastic

bypass is a no-no.

I go next Tuesday (election day!!) for my 18 week US and will

hopefully find out if I am having a girl or boy. (Go team PINK -

come on Sophie Helene!!)
