Colonoscopy Prep

It's been a while since I posted and want to say hello to all the

oldtimers.

died June 11 and since them I have kept myself worn out so

that I don't have a lot of time to think. I decided to start with

the outside of my house and believe me I have muscles aching that I

did not even know I had.

It has been 3 years since my Son and myself had our colonoscopies.

We have ours scheduled for next week. The daughter has once again

come up with a thousand excuses why she can not do hers right now.

My question for you is I have a new Gastro Doctor and he refuses to

let me take the Visicol pills. He insists on us taking the

discusting stuff you drink. He says it a new version and you only

take half the amount that you did before.

It is called HalfLytely and Bisacodyl Tablets. Has anyone tried

this prep and is it any better than the gallon of prep?

I am so afraid I will not be able to get the stuff down. I tried it

once before and could not handle it.

Not a day goes by that I do not think of you guys and gals. I check

the site every couple of days but it brings back so many bad

memories that some days I just cant handle the reminders.

For all the newbies I will encourage you to participate and be a

close member. I would have not made the 5yr battle without all of

you and your helpful information and love.

Joyce,

I know what you mean about the reminders. I still care deeply about

the members of this board, but I have a hard time reading the posts

some days.

My doc has me drink phospho soda and take Ducolax tablets. It is not

as bad as the gallon of vile tasting liquid.

Good luck.

I am so sorry you lost . He lives within you now and your

children. Sometimes it is good to stay busy and not think too much.

But please take care of yourself too.

I do not know anything about this colonoscopy prep. Let us know how

it works and how you tolerated the prep. Ingrid
