Guest guest
The bloating and back pain are still there and his stomach feels hard. The doctor said it was gas from last weeks ERCP. I got him some Gas X and an over the counter diuretic which seemed to help a little with the bloating. The pain does seem to ease up some with the Ativan and Oxicodene but returns. Also Phil's stomach is rock hard and it hurts if you touch it. The Erbitux rash is there but not bothersome. My gut feeling is that the liver is really acting up. As most of you know resection and RFA are not possible due to tumor size, number and locations and the Hepatic Artery pump maxed out. We are down to chemo and praying for a miracle! Guest guest
Did you read about the promising results obtained using Interferon and chemo? This is a new combination and has not been used with colon cancer before. You keep strong for Phil and we will all keep strong for you. X in Spain Well, I did read it had been used to treat Hepatitis C soo you would certainly have reason to believe it should be noteworthy for treating liver mets. I'll have to read up on that but doctor did say there were other things out there so maybe that is one. I know there are many here more down and out but I'm just frustrated at not being able to find something to help him. He did say the pain stuff helps but doesn't totally take it away. The other thing is Phil is NOT a patient patient He hates being inactive at all!! He hates resting or slowing down on the job and is paranoid that should he do so our church council or Bishop would get rid of him. Believe me we can't afford that as our income is very modest. Even if we could afford it Phil wouldn't last a minute without his ministry. It is his BABY after me and the boys. Believe me 99% of our church is great! But the other 1% sure causes a lot of needless aggravation. Stress he definitely DOES NOT need. Well, I definitely will look at the Interferon stuff. Thanks Narice

We were warned that the Erbitux causes liver problems so maybe is just that. Did you read about the promising results obtained using Interferon and chemo?
