My husband begins his first chemo treatment next week. He had his port put in yesterday near his collarbone and he is so sore that he cannot do any push-ups. Well, he is a cancer patient; he doesn't need to do any push-ups right now! Just get better. Have a nice weekend~ ~Deb from KS Hi Deb... your hubby might want to ask the dr. about doing push-ups with that port, esp. so soon. I'm glad he's in good shape, tho...will help him with this battle. Guest guest
Hi, Donelle. Part of the shock about my husband's colon cancer is that he is so healthy otherwise. He had a moderate case of h-pylori in the stomach that has been treated. He did not even know that he had it. The GI doc just took the opportunity to do the esophagus exam down into the stomach while he had him in there for the colonoscopy. He is supposed to have a breath test in about 3 weeks to see if the medications he took were successful. Prayers and hugs to you and Glenn. Glad to hear he is a teensy bit better today. ~Deb from KS Grandmommyandme@... wrote: In a message dated 10/8/2005 8:03:03 AM Eastern Standard Time, flytodeb@... writes: Hi, Jon. Glenn's colon tumor according to the dr. had probably been growing there for about 8-10 yrs. and he did not have any symptoms, until " it " decided to rear its ugly head with diarrhea, bleeding and lower abdomen pain. However, he is a " classic case " of had he had the Colonoscopy earlier, he might well have been in a better place to fight!!! They might have caught it before it developed...Had I been aware of the importance of the Colonoscopy, I could have bitched him out to get it done sooner...LOL It's truly all about AWARENESS.... Guest guest
Tiger, I could be that he is just to scared to do the colonoscopy. Too scared to find out he has cancer. But he needs to get himself over that. He should know to catch it early gives him a better chance. Just keep nagging at him. I will pray that he will go.
