Guest guest
So far the tingling in my throat seems to be lessening somewhat. I was just so surprised to experience it within 30 minutes of leaving the clinic. What's really bothering me is losing my hear from the Xeloda. That just breaks my heart. Oh, vanity, thy name is Woman!! > Hi, You are the only other person I have seen on the list who mentioned Xeloda. My husband is taking it, 1500 twice daily, along with daily radiation. So far, he hasn't had any side effects from it but the radiation is getting to him bigtime this weekend.(Halfway thru!!!) Extreme fatigue, severe anal and inner rectum pain and burning and in the bathroom every hour. He has three weeks to go and we are wondering if there will be any side effects from the chemo. The doc made him take Friday off from the radiation and he was pretty miserable all day, then yesterday was much worse. So last evening I got on my broomstick and shoved some Darvocet and Tylenol down him then followed it at bedtime with more Darvocet. He was only up twice during the night and said this morning that he doesn't hurt and it is the most he has slept in several weeks. What makes some men so darned stubborn??? He does complain of itching internally and I don't have a clue what to do for that. Will ask the doc tomorrow about Anusol which was offered to him last week and he refused. He has a ' Wayne' thing going on here:-) Tough it out, etc. His port (currently for blood draws and for future chemo) is on the left side and the only problem is when driving, the seat belt goes smack dab across it, so I do the driving everywhere now. I am anxious to see if the tumor is shrinking but don't know when there will be another scan. The 'pictures' they take every Monday they said were of the bones, not the tumor. Any clues as to why??? Answers are greatfully received........................ Jan - caretaker of Bill DX 7-05 CC stage III
