Guest guest
I don't know how many of you saw Etheridge perform the Janis Joplin song at some awards show, but it was so powerful. She battled breast cancer and appeared with no hat or wig ... completely baldheaded. And when she belted out " Take it! Take another little piece of my heart now baby! " She said she realized it was the cancer she was singing about. Then when she did the " scream " , she felt like she was letting out all of it. That SO hit home with me. I've said before that when they told me " You have cancer " my heart broke. And it is still broken and probably always will be, but it is mending. I'm now about 18 months post treatment and still finding little bits and pieces of myself, here and there. But the old is gone. I kinda miss her:) Just some thoughts, nancy j ---------- Internal Virus Database is out-of-date. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Guest guest
Lydia, Your reply What has shocked me before, it's begining to look normal and almost natural. There is so much truth to that. I could not of put it any better. Ingrid > > ---------- Initial Header ----------- > > Dear , > > > I know exactly what you mean by the " old is gone " . It happened to me too. The old one had some many dreams and plans for the future. Now my future I see it over my kids. They are my future. Before I wanted to conquer the world. Now I feel the world has conquered me. And yet this new me is thriving and getting stronger every day. What has shocked me before, it's begining to look normal and almost natural. > Just some thoughts coming out from my heart. > > Love and prayers to all.
