Guest guest
Well sorta browsed through the digest and going to make batch comments instead of individual ones.. My port is on my left side, had thought it would be on the right but when I woke up there is one on the left. I guess he said there was more room or something, I don't know. I used to sleep on my right side so glad that he didn't put it there now... the little receptacle part is fairly visible and sometimes I do bump it and it hurts a bit, thank goodness it is just inside my bra line so doesn't interfere with the bra strap.. Marty Well you are almost through it.. Don't hesitate to ask them to reduce the dosage... If you continue and it runs you down you would have to miss one or two sessions anyway, or it causes other complications like I had the low potassium which can be very dangerous, the low wbc for which I had to take the neupogen shots, the diarrhea.. Yuk... So they reduced the dosage on one the drugs, assuming it was the Oxy... and I got through it... You will get there too, know you are just about done with chemo... Joe and Deb Well hope Joe doesn't run himself down too much. Shame to go through all of that then die of heart attack or something else totally unrelated. Not funny I know.. Well hope the appt's coming up with shed some light on things. He needs to take care of himself... You tell him I said so. LOL... Donelle and Glenn You two are always in my thoughts. I hope Glenn is doing okay, it makes me mad that he has to be side tracked by the other problems and can't keep up with the chemo. Big hugs to you both.... Sounds like you are managing your chemo reasonably well.. Pray that you continue to do so. Did I read it right that you are losing your hair... You going to get a wig? Cancer society will furnish you one... Hang in there kiddo, want to meet with you at NTIF in March... Wish you come come to Austin to our festival - we have a super line up this year... I am getting excited about it. Ingrid You are the rock here lady... Your continuous encouragement is an inspiration to the new folks in the group. God Bless you... Karima Well won't be long and you will be trekking to New Mexico to live the rest of your good life.. I admire you so... You have been a trooper... To everyone else am enjoying getting to know the new people. I will be hanging around for awhile.. I have grown used to getting lots of email and I sure wouldn't know what to do if I didn't get it now. Besides I would worry about everyone if I didn't keep in touch. God Bless you and and great big hugs.... Jolene
