I wanted to share the GREAT Sunday I had yesterday. Janet Green and her daughter came down to Indiania to visit me. It was wonderful to meet Janet and her daugher for the first time face to face. Janet is truely an amazing woman. Her daugher Lizzy is a very Pretty, Polite little girl. Not to mention how athletic she is. Lizzy rode several of the horses here and did very well with them for riding her first time. She has a very special way with the horses and had no difficulty at all controlling them. She did so well with the pony and then the Quarter Horse gelding that I let her ride my Appaloosa Stallion. She connected so well with the horses and they responded to her every wish. I wished I had a little girl just like her. Janet also rode and did well also. We got to talk and visit while my son and Lizzy explored the Wabash River for fish and Mussals. The kids had a woderful time. I did too and I am hoping Janet enjoyed our visit as much as I did. Cancer has been an ugly part of my life. But it has allowed me to meet new people and make such wonderful friends because of it. I have gotten to know people that I otherwise would of never met. Yesterday was such a Wonderful Day for me!!!! Ingrid Ingrid...you sound so happy!!! And that feeling is being spread by your message to us...thanks for sharing and putting a little sunshine in my otherwise dreary day on the eastcoast....remnants of Tammy for the last 4-5 days. I'm sure Janet had a great time and no doubt about the children!!! You are so right about the Cancer being an ugly part of our lives, but on the upside, we have made such wonderful friends and feelings of such " connection " that we wouldn't have if we weren't here. Guest guest
I rode my favorite horse Rusty yesterday. I have not really ridden in about a year other than once around at a jog and a lope. I felt so much better I rode for about an hour and was doing circles with simple lead changes. He is the most awesome Western Pleasure horse and at last month's open show with my friend his trainer beat a horse that had placed at the Paint WOrlds. He is a breeding stock paint with no color, sorrel with a flaxen mane/tail. I got to thinking he is going to be 8 this January and I've had him since he was a 2 year old. Boy does time fly. He has been in professional training mostly all his life. He is so awesome. It felt so good to ride him yesterday. I plan to show him this season in the open shows which start in Feb.
