Guest guest
>>>>>>> Playmobil is amazing! And I am sure this is very good for him, just hope he doesn't want any torches of his own. Salli <<<<<<< Jacqui has so many little figurines, it's sickening...LOL...But they ARE good for these kids. She uses them now to " reenact " her Junie B stories. She'll set everything up and do a little play for herself using the 3D characters. She now goes in her room and shuts the door to do this. :-D The other day she wanted me to play. I really shy away from this because she'll re-enact the same thing over and over and over and over, well, you know... We had 35 Students in school, who all had to pick a chair. We then passed out tiny pieces of paper for all of them and markers so they could write their names. Then they all had to go to the " front of the room " to tell the class their names and well as spell it for them. Wow. What a mind. Then they all get their " things " because it's the end of the day and go to the bus (which we have) or their car (which we have) or the daycare bus (which we have). Some kids stay behind because they are " afraid to get on the bus " , then they run around the school, their parents finally pick them up and they have a conference with the principal why it's not ok to stay at school when you are suppose to be on the bus. She does all this with the book no where in site. Penny
Guest guest
Gee I wonder why the Reynolds' house has all this play fire-fighting apparatus. ;-) Penny Re: The Arsonist > > Maybe he couldn't find a little play hose for the firemen to hold? > > Actually, there isn't a play hose. Hmm. Maybe the fire engine in the > Playmobil catalogue has a hose and THAT is Putter's message to me? But we have firehose, air masks, helmets, axes, hydrants and a few other accessories. You just must not have the right sets! lol

Guest guest
penny, brandt, too, reenacts scenes from books or movies with his figures. They run the gamut from Happy Meal prizes, to dollhouse characters, to action figures, etc. Not a real " set " of anything. He will do a school scene with 20 characters or so that he has renamed. The thing that drives me crazy is that he can remember all of the character's names days later and of course, I remember NONE of them! He gets so frustrated with me! Leggs OT Does anyone have a child that attempts to " bribe " them out of being angry with them? He used to grab my face and try to turn the corners of my mouth up to make a smile. Now, he gets in my jewelry box and brings me a necklace or bracelet as a " gift " to make a smile. My dh thinks that if this works, he might save a LOT of money when HE gets in the doghouse! Guest guest
ROFL, Leggs. does try to bribe me out of being angry with him. He hugs me and cuddles with me, brings me a pack of cigarets if I'm low, or starts doing chores he typically doesn't initiate on his own. If all else fails, he sits at the table, sniffing and holding back tears. I must admit, he's usually very effective.
