I had a contrast CT scan and a PET scan on Monday. I received a call

telling me things look fine (NED?) although there was one clarification:

Because

of the liver resection and the abscess that followed (I had a catheter in the

liver for 2 months), the pictures of the liver show lots of inflammation.

But, because the CT scan shows the liver a little clearer, it looks as though

the inflammation has lessened since the first scan, so they assume that is all

that is there. In other words, they called to give me the " good " news but I

asked specifically about he liver and they had to admit that it is too

inflamed to tell what is going on. I am going to ask them to fax the reports

so I

can see what the radiologist had to say. I start round 6 of chemo on

Tuesday (they won't allow me to come in on Mondays anymore because they are

full

from all the new clinical trials).

Ingrid:

I thought the same thing. Since I am having Avastin, how can my liver heal?

How long is this supposed to take? I hope I can get some clarification.

Thanks for your thoughts.

, My concern is that your liver is inflamed. And chemo slows

down healing. You need to talk tio your onc about this. The chemo

will slow down any healing process. How can your liver heal when the

chemo is doing its thing? I am worried and am Praying for you. Ingrid
