Guest guest
When I was pregnant with DS1 the Atlanta Olympics were on so of course we tried out all the unusual names of the competitors - Roxbert, Ezekial, Linford. We ended up with though in due course. The other way of thinking up baby names is by watching the TV credits - oh, what a sad way to spend your pregnancy, but I've done it all three times ;o)) Hannah TV credits are excellent for name spotting. We had the rather special name Maxwell Cardigan lined up for our first, which then turned out to be a girl. After 3 wks of indecision, we liked her grandfather's suggestion - (before Lewinsky palava), then needed to choose a second name that would ring as well as MC (we were thinking stage names, weird because she it turns out she loves drama & we're not at all theatrical) & finally spotted the name Holliday on some credits. This was all mainly because we were having a dispute about whether I should adopt DH's surname & what to do about kids' names... I've given in pretty much after 9yrs on that so naming Lucas was much easier (middle name !!) Siobhan (34) mum to (7 & 1/2) & Lucas (b. July 2001) ps just realised that the long-running dispute I mention ed on whether to adopt " married " name (ie DH's surname) sounds a bit funny coming from someone who appears on the list as " Tim " - mean to get around to sorting out my own mailbox asap (LOL w. 6wk baby could take some time...)
