Yes, He did take his meds yesterday....altho, he may have skipped one dose,

now that I think of it, b/c his tummy filled up almost overnite with fluid

and we had to go to the hospital and get him drained. Dr. doesn't know why

this happened... maybe clogged... with what?? or temporarily blocked....with

what?? No real answers!! " It happens " , he says. Grrrr!!! Hate when they

can't or won't tell me WHY!!!!

Oh, Karima. When I said make light of your running, I did not know you were

ready to take a jar full of pills. Hang on, please! Things have to get better.

Have you tried Probiotica? I read about it on the Internet. Praying for you.

Here is what I copied:

Help for diarrhea

I have had severe diarrhea for more than two years and my doctor recently told

me to try a new product. The maker of Imodium has created a product called

Probiotica, sold over the counter as chewable tabs (60 for $15.99 at my

pharmacy). It replaces the lost healthy bacteria that is destroyed in our colon

by taking medication. It only took a matter of a few days and my severe diarrhea

stopped. I still have minor problems, but I am so much better and having the

diarrhea stopped has helped me gain weight and feel and look better. I hope this

information helps.

Could that answer be the doctors way of saying they don't know??? Of

course the doctors would never admit they don't know. Ingrid

You think the gassy foods could contribute to the runs? If so, I will just

Esp. the broccoli and coleslaw.... dr. told us the starches (breads,

noodles, rice, etc.) kind of " absorb " , so they would probably be your best bet

on a

regular basis...

Have you had any trouble with chocolate causing diarrhea?? My Mom had a

problem with that, but not sure if that's just b/c she was so old....or if

chocolate is one of those no-no's. Glenn ate choc. frozen yogurt and I'm

wondering if that's what has caused the " relapse " . He had less than 24 hrs.

Well I woke up this morning with more runs. I have been drinking water and club

soda and just took two more caplets. For the last few days I have been playing

fast and loose with home made coleslaw, brocolli, a beef soup someone else made.

Could that do this. Oh yes and I ate an apple (no skin). 8-(

I really don't know except they do for me sometimes. Maybe if you tried the

Bean-o when you eat it?

or what do you give him??

I woke up with outrageous gas and the runs started again. I just don't know

what to do. I am taking caplets, can't find my lomotil (I may have thrown it

out cause it is an opiate, what a jerk I am).

You will just have to watch your diet Karima. I know it isn't pleasant but

neither is the constant diarrhea. I love corn and have not tasted it for

I seem to manage a small helping of salad (not what I am used to by any means);

I lived on grassy food and chocolate too (small things) and an ice cream or two

a week. But not like what I have gone through the past few days. I had a

toasted american cheese sandwich for supper (blech) and a few spearmint leaves

(the candy kind).
