Guest guest
Ingrid, Jay and whoever this might apply too.. They can't refuse a good faith payment. They can't force you to pay if you don't have it, you have to allow for living expenses... If they don't like what you can afford to pay, ask them well would you rather I didn't pay anything at all -- that can be arranged quite easily. You can always tell them to stick it where sun don't shine. Cheers Jolene
Guest guest
Hi. Jolene. Hope you are feeling better today. My husband's doctor who did the colonoscopy said to wait until we get the bill three times and then call his office to say we couldn't pay and he would write it off. Yes!!! I have put all the other bills in a folder with pockets. It is pretty heavy. I almost feel like I don't care how much money I spend now, because we will never be in a good financial situation ever again. Ok, that is silly thinking, but that is what I'm thinking. haha Here are my questions: If I owe many different places, do I just send each one of them my first payment of say $10 or $25 or whatever? I would have to figure out how much we could send each one per month. It gives me a headache to think about these expenses. Or do I have to call all these medical offices first, to inform them that I can't pay their bills and then promise to send them such and such amount every month? Thank you in advance. ~Deb from KS Jolene Ehret wrote: Ingrid, Jay and whoever this might apply too.. They can't refuse a good faith payment. Guest guest
Pay a certain amount each month until they are paid off. And, each once in a while hit they with a somewhat large amount. It will give them the appearance that you at least trying. Some people think that is a good thing. Guest guest
Deb, I would figure out what you can pay each one and then call them and try to work out a payment schedule. Write down the date you called and who you are speaking too for future use. That would be best so they know you are making a honest attempt. That is how I have been doing it.
