Guest guest
> Saute some onions in olive oil and salt > then put some mushrooms in with the onions > when the mushrooms are cook and not too dry, I'll add some more oil (two table spoons) Lydia Our onc nurse would go mad at that amount of olive oil and as for the salt she says add none. Having had the virtues of the ¨Mediterranean diet¨ pushed at us by media and advertising we laughed when on Monday Mike was in a 3 bed room with 2 women and their relatives and as always the conversation moves to food. They thought we eat nothing but burgers and chips and coke and they then went on extolling the healthy virtues of meat, fish, salads and olive oil. We never have burgers or chips at home (obviously we occassionaly have them at fast food places like everyone else). We never cook with olive oil, we grill and not fry we bake and have casseroles. There are lots of Spanish people with colon cancer of all ages at our hospital but what worried me more was when they told us that they had to open an extra chemo floor just for women with breast cancer as had run out of space on the floor we are on! Will be thinking of you tonight are having spaghetti bolognese with a side salad when our friends arrive but not until 9 oclock, (early for Spanish I know.) in Spain
