Guest guest
I decided that since I will presumably be finished with my 12 rounds of Folfox + Avastin in February 2006, I am going to take my children (and husband, of course) to Europe this summer. They have never been there and I haven't been there since before they were born. After 9-11, when my friend Chic Burlingame who was the pilot of the AAirlines flight that was flown into the Pentagon was killed, I was frozen. I couldn't even think of traveling to Europe and even cancelled a fully paid trip to Hawaii that year. Now I am ready to go since you don't know what lies ahead. I think I will take them to Paris, London, Venice and Switzerland. I am going to break up the trip by stopping 2 nights in New York so they can go to the Yankees game and see N.Y. Venice is my favorite city in the world and Switzerland is where our ancestors came from when they immigrated to the U.S. Anyone have any suggestions as to where we should go in Switzerland? Places to stay? Etc.? Love, in sunny California Lydia, How long do the winters usually last there? Do you get a lot of snow? Ingrid > > > Dear Ingrid, > > Apart from a mild headache, I usually have very strong headaches, the weather over here- north of Italy - Milano is very nice. The sun is shining and the cat (Ronnie) is lying down on a little table that we keep on the balcony. I have just touched his fur and it's so warm. I can walk on the balcony sleeveless and keep my windows and door open. I love those days. However, at night it gets cold and we need to use our conforters. Soon we'll have to turn on the heathers. > > All my love and prayers to you and your family. > > Lydia >

Guest guest
, I am so very sorry that your friend was the pilot on the plane that flew into the Pentagon. I wish it were otherwise. As far as Switzerland, I love Luzerne and going up the mountain on the cable cars. (Also love Venice too!) Priscilla A. Guest guest
Hey, , I'd love to stow away and you can just drop me off anywhere over Ireland. Sounds like a wonderful trip and isn't it nice to be able to just make plans and look forward to something besides chemo and surgery. brencolinmom@... wrote: I decided that since I will presumably be finished with my 12 rounds of Folfox + Avastin in February 2006, I am going to take my children (and husband, of course) to Europe this summer.
