Guest guest
I had an endoscope done yesterday to see what the tumor in my duodenum is up to. We did one last year and the dr. saw a small bleeding tumor. This year he could not get the scope into my duodenum. He said it was narrowed. This could mean either the tumor has grown or scar tissue has grown. I prefer the scar tissue explanation since that would meant the chemo helped. The dr. will know more after he does an upper GI. We were hoping there was no bleeding so we could think about using Avastin but the dr. saw slight bleeding still. I did ask the dr to check the tumor to see if it was HNPCC. He spoke to the path lab and they will do it. But he said the duodenal tumor may not show it even though I also have colon cancer. I am still playing the waiting game here. I want to get some treatment started agai asap. Has anyone had a tumor that had alot of scar tissue on it? I get full after eating and that feeling stays a long time. This must be from the narrowing and the food is emptying slowly. I am afraid of a complete blockage occurring. I will know more after the upper GI.
