Ruthie, you don't need to be paranoid here - it was just a very rude

posting, probably made in a spat of intense irritation. We all have days

like that. Perhaps the problem is everybody's trying too hard not to tread

on toes and ends up treading on more toes? I dunno. Perhaps it's the

weather (there have been some pretty odd/ troll-like postings on a site I

regularly visit lately too) or the end of the summer hols or something, but

I think that a deep breath and just putting the whole thing down to

experience is probably what we all need. I think my first contribution to

the list of rules, in the light of the last few days would be " everyone is

banned from complaining about other posts! " (tee hee). But seriously,

perhaps we're all taking everything too much to heart. Whatever anyone

writes will undoubtedly annoy someone - and we all have different views on

the appropriate use of language (I was given a right rollicking for taking

offence at a posting some while back, whereas other people seem IMO to have

their preferences sensitively observed at all times) and what is or isn't

offensive. If someone complains about someone else's posting, things are

bound to escalate and sides are bound to be taken - that in itself will make

the group a less pleasant place to be. Just a thought (and yes I know I

haven't kept to my own rule here!)
