Guest guest
Thanks, Donna, The pond and the swimming fish DO have a soothing relaxing effect...I guess that's why I find myseld sitting next to it and gazinf into the water so much these days... And, of course, there's nothing like having your first granddaughter alongside (even if I WAS forbiddent to have ANY physical contact with her because of danger of my getting an infection!) Guest guest
Marty I don't think you have to worry about getting anything from your dear little granddaughter... As long as they wash their sweet little hands and face and don't sneeze on you - you should be fine. My granddaughters live with me and that was a worry sometimes, especially when younger one got strep and they said scarlet fever. She wasn't really sick, but thank goodness it was the girl's week to go to their dad's. That sure does come in handy sometimes. How old is she? My youngest one is 5 and she entertains me more than I can say. Yesterday she got a doll from her dad, blue dressed one comes to our house, and the pink one goes to dad's (see the advantages, LOL).. Anyway she decided she was going to have a birthday party for her blue doll, and her mom said well what is her name. I guess " Halloween costume " was first suggestion and her mom said no something else and she said " Phantom...(pause) of the Opera " So they sang happy birthday to Phantom and had cake and ice cream (pretend) and I said I didn't get any and she just looked at me and said " Pretend! " and walked off. She is a hoot sometimes. Cheers Jolene
Guest guest
Thanks for the update. Atara just turned 4 last week. Unfortunately, I was too chemo'd out to go to the party. The pediatrician suggested that, since the litle ones were nose-dripping and i was immuno-depressed...no contact.. Take care! Guest guest
Sorry you had to miss Atara's party. But yes when there is nose dripping etc good idea to stay away... Take care Jolene
