Guest guest
You got THAT right!!!! NOw, after the last tretment next week, will have to work on UN-conditioning all of the responses associated with the chemo...the nausea that is triggered just by THINKING about certain people, places and things... Guest guest
I'm afraid it will take much more than 6 weeks. My best friend is a psychologist who did his doctorate on just that phenomenon...the conditioned physical response of nausea to the various sights, sounds, smells and thoughts connected to chemo... It's a very real and scientifically recognized phenomenon.. Now, he tells me about research showing a very high incidence of post-traumatic-stress-syndrome (shell-shock!) after chemo..both the to the treat-ies AND their caregivers...in the case of the research, the parents of kids undergoing chemo... Food for thought (and MORE nausea...)
