Sounds psychological to an extent since you now associate it with cancer

I'm not even going to mention any of this discussion to Glenn. So far, he

has not said anything related to this...he's only complained of the chemical

taste in his mouth when on chemo. Now he may suffer with this, but I'm not

putting it in to his little pea-brain...he's got enough going on there....LOL

I feel so badly for all of you who must endure this psychological/physical

aspect. This just plain sux...I would hate it!!! And I'm sure y'all do,

too!! When Glenn was on chemo, especially right after a chemo infusion, he

reeked of the chemical smell. Even the cat knew something was going on, she

would

lie right beside him for hours...and she doesn't even like Glenn!!! LOL

They have since " bonded " since Glenn has been home for the last 12 months.

I am sure it is psychological, but so very physical too. Odd how that happens,

Not with cancer, with the physical effects of the chemo treatment

The effects are definitely physical (proven), triggered by a psychological

mechanism

Same thing with me and the gloves (and I worked as a dentist with gloves all

of the time.

If I even THINK of one of the chemo nurses, those angels without wings that

I literally LOVE, the nausea begins immediately...just the association with

the poisons that they inject into us...

Dang stuff is so toxic even after leaving your body that if it splashes on

someone, it can harm them.

It has to be administered as a 'slow push' by a nurse over a 30 minute time

period. She would be outfitted like HazMat!

On the Osbournes (yeah, I'm reduced to watching even THAT on TV, but, i

actually like it...)

they say that they (the married couple) didn't engage in any hanky panky for

the entire course of the wife's chemo.

I figured that my wife is going thru enough without having to become

celibate on top of everything (no pun intended)

But seriously, I can't say that I haven't wanted to engage in a bit of the

old " naughtiness " myself, especially towards the ends of a cycle.

All the docs assured me that it was totally ok, no danger to either me or my

wife.

Hope I'm not getting too " risque " , but THIS stuff is just as real as the

" poop " topics, no?
