Am I boring anyone? I'm boring myself. haha Take care, ~Deb from KS I don't know the answer to this Deb....but the same thing has been happening here for the last year...and I live in a new condo only 4 yrs. old!!! The toilet in my 2nd bathroom was leaking and I didn't even know it until my neighbor downstairs called the other day. I learned how to turn the water off in the bathroom...LOL Now have to get the seal replaced..... Maybe, it's so we will learn how to do this " stuff " .... As far as nursing, my Sam won't let me do anything. He is hanging on to his independence as long as possible. That's why instead of caregiver I said I was a bystander. LOL What was that saying? What doesn't kill me will make me stronger? Something like that. Well, I am doing things I never would do. The other day I saw a couple of those ants with wings. No big deal, you say? Well, we had a a whole nest of them that came inside a box containing a computer part that my husband ordered from the Internet. The warehouse must be full of those boxes and our box had hundreds or thousands of winged ants inside. ::shudder:: So after that traumatic experience, when I see one of those ants I panic. I saw a group of them sitting close to each other. Maybe 10-20 of them. I would call it a swarm. I hit them with the fly swatter and killed them. Now as I am doing chores and cooking dinner I am often looking at the ceiling like a paranoid person. haha ~Deb from KS Deb... I know it's hard, but let Sam be as independent as he can be for as long as he can be.... hoping he can stay that way through the whole treatment!!! I think he will make it. The only thing that comes to mind is he might not be able to drive himself to the cancer center. So far, he has been doing it. He is stubborn and I think it may be a long time before he gives up and asks for help in driving. But I hope I am wrong and you are right. I hope he keeps his independence all the way through his treatments. ~Deb from KS The first time Glenn had chemo after the colon resection, he did everything by himself...went to chemo, worked, etc. So I'm hoping Sam can, too!!
