Yellow stools

Hi,

My stools have turned to be of a very pale yellow color. I think maybe

this is due to lack of bilirubin in bile which in turn may be due to

the extensive use I am doing of GSE to fight yeast. GSE is supposed to

slow down phase I a lot. I have increased milk thistle but I don't

know if I should definitely quit GSE, because it is really working

very well against yeast.

Any ideas? Is it a bad idea to continue using GSE?

Thanks,

TK--- suggestion - do a fecal microbiology and see what pathogens are

there and what they respond to, then treat with appropriate agents

which might be something other than GSE if you think it is causing

problems.

Try taking taurine, I was told that taurine makes the stools brown.

Or check with Autism-Mercury. they are fabulous with stool problems.

My son's stool does this when he is dumping yeast. Which you might be

doing with the gse right now. It's fine to keep taking it as long as

it's working and you feel ok otherwise. It sounds like what we call

" cleaning house " around here. When you go after yeast, you will have

some " interesting stools " .

Hm. I think the real problem is if it's kind of " clay " or " straw " color, which

indicates lack of bile. I have never seen the lack of bilirubin being an issue

to be concerned with, unless the bile duct is blocked.

If bile is missing, then you might try taurine + glycine, which are factors

that go into making bile.

As for GSE's effect on bile production or the clearing of bilirubin - I haven't

hear anything. How is bilirubin removed, do you know? Does it depend on the

phase I detoxification pathway?

Dave.

Hi,

Thank you to all those who replied!

It seems that increasing milk thistle and stopping GSE have fixed the

problem.

I really know nothing about liver phase I (but that GSE slows down it

a lot and that it has to do with detox), so I don't know if GSE was

actually the problem. Maybe milk thistle would be enough to fix it?

Anyway, it seems that the low-sulfur diet is working pretty well, so

maybe I could manage the yeast issue without GSE.

P.S.: I feel like under the command of a starship belonging to a very

advanced alien civilization, trying to guess the meaning of the many

colored lights around and how to land it safely. The starship is this

body and the ignorant primitive pilot is me. The colored lights...

well, we already spoke about the colors before.

Taurine and glycine are precursors for bile. You might want to try taking them

both.

Dave.

(I thought that the billirubin was what made the stools brown? Or, do you mean

that when the stools are yellow, no billirubin is coming out, and so the body

has high levels?)

I have yellow stools too, golden. They've improved from being very

pale previously. I was interested in the point Jada made that her

son's stools are yellow when he is dumping yeast.

Pale stools can be a sign of elevated billirubin. Billirubin is

cleared on the glucuronidation pathway, which is also one of the

pathways that clears fungal toxins. Could be on overload.

However, my doctor put me on taurine as he thinks it might be a bile

issue as Jada mentions. Just started that.
