Guest guest
In Andy's Book AI he mentions doing urine tests to see body burden of mercury after chelating w/DMSA or DMPS and then starting ALA. This of course seems to be one of the options since one could also start with just ALA. Is it recommended? I started my hubby on DMSA for about 6 rounds (increased slowly up to 25 mg - he weighs about 180lbs) and then added ALA at 6.25 mg the last 2 rounds with DMSA staying the same. But he mentioned that from a few weeks ago (before adding ALA), he has felt once in a while, a pulsing pain in the left temple for a few seconds. Could this be the chelation? Does this mean that it is better to do some more rounds of DMSA and only then add back ALA? He always feels better when chelating though. Since it has been only 2 rounds of ALA I am not sure if the ALA has been having any adverse effects at all. He does seem to feel sleepy more than usual while doing chelation, which I have gathered is quite normal. I just want to make sure I am not rushing into the ALA before his body is rady for it, where I may inadvertently be pushing more mercury into the brain before enough of it has had a chance to get dumped out with DMSA.
