Guest guest
Well the reason I only gained a total of 30 lbs while pregnant with twins is because I was confined to a bed for 4 months. I lost at least 20lbs of muscle mass from atrophy. After I had the twins and could move around, I literally got winded walking from one end of my house to the other ... and once on the floor, I could not stand back up by myself unless I had a sofa or chair to crawl up. I am about 50lbs heavier than I would feel comfortable with, and would ideally like to lose 70-80lbs. Debbie with twins - Jordan (ASD) 2.5yo - (NT) 2.5yo Re: OT: Exercise wow Debbie that is amazing, only gaining 30 lbs while pregnant, with twins no less!! I am about 30-35 lbs heavier than I would like to be and very out of shape so I totally understand what you mean about feeling unattractive Warm Regards & ASD 11/25/00 in Maine RE: OT: Exercise Well, I was down to 190lb before I got pregnant with the twins. Then I went up to about 220lb while pregnant. After the pregnancy I was about 200lbs which felt fabulous. Then I moved in with my MIL for a few months while we quickly renovated the house we were supposed to move into. Highly stressful time, and my MIL feeds, feeds, feeds ... I put all the weight back on in just a few months. I've actually lost weight to be at 220-225lbs now. I'd really like to lose some of this. Between the weight and " twin belly " , I feel flabby, saggy, altogether not attractive. Guest guest
On exercise thwarted: Having decided I will NOT live like this any longer, and that I MUST get a good pair of running shoes so I may walk on the treadmill and make my arthritic joints as limber as possible, I ordered shoes from Sears. They came in yesterday. This morning, I DUMPED at school with nary a look back and raced home to open my shoes. 10W. (big!) I tried them on. A little loose. Well, maybe more than a little, as they were rubbing against my ankle bone...but still. I looked at the box to double-check. 9W. Oh my! 9W TOO BIG? Unreal! I took off the shoes to lace them properly. Caught a glimpse of the size on the insole. 11W. WHAT?!?!?! <sigh> Next week, I guess. Jacquie
Guest guest
Yes...please take all discussions to the PAWeightSupport group though, as Jacquie would rather we do it that way. Jacquie, I may need your help posting a monthly announcement! Penny :-D RE: OT: Exercise Importance: High How long have you been on that weight? Maybe we can encourage each other to do some exercise. Guest guest
I still drink my coffee...I refuse to give it up. I attempted to drink a non-fat, sugarfree vanilla latte the other day...just ain't happening. So, I'll stick with my non-fat Mocha's...chocolate and coffee all in one! Penny :-D Re: OT: Exercise > I'm with you, . I'd give my eye teeth to weigh 131 again. > Oh yeah! I would be thrilled, but since stressed=desserts and my vices are coffee and chocolate, it is unlikely I will see that for many many years to come. I would smoke, because it seems like such a soothing vice, but allergies and asthma just don't make for good vice partners. Now if they could just come up with a calorie free chocolate.... who is drinking coffee and sampling Easter chocolate for breakfast.

Guest guest
> LOL! > 5 foot tall. > I said I would be happy to see 110. I didn't say that is what I weighed > before children. I assumed you didn't mean this was your pre preggers weight! That's why I thought you had to have been a tiny person. There is a difference there. At the time and I got > married (I was 22 years old) I weighed all of 88 lbs. I had the metabolism > where I could eat anything that wasn't nailed down and in large quantities > and not gain an ounce of weight. I wore a size 14 in little girls pants and > a size 32DD bra. After a very embarassing experience told me he was > never taking me shopping for clothes again. Heeheee. I had the overall demensions to fit my weight. Nothing large anywhere on me. Now I am somewhat wider (nearing 45 of course) and far from being very toned ( I really need to get motivated). Even the thought of putting on a swimsuit isn't getting me excersizing yet. If I could just get rid of the pre menopause weight I'd be happy, however, I've been told that you can't lose that weight, so I need to excercise. Problem for me is that after cleaning other peoples homes, I really don't feel like it! Oh well. Sue

I come from a family of large women (including my mom), but I seem to have more of my dad's gene's. My highest weight was 159 during pregnancy. By the way, my personal opinion is that weight is just something you wear, it has nothing to do with who you are. And you are fabulous without the L. Guest guest
Yes, there is such a thing as a G cup. They aren't easy to find either. When I was nursing I needed like a 34 H/I bra. Guest guest
For me it isn't. I was about 180 when I graduated, gradually went up. Was about 220 when I met hubby. Was 242 day I had . Actually went down to 209 within a couple weeks and then started taking Elavil for depression. My weight soared, went in for heart surgery, my dad died, and my weight's been pretty stable at about 245-250 for a couple years now. ellen Re: OT: Exercise Does anyone else think the autism has something to do with it? Seriously? I was 120 size 6 my whole life. After I got married I had to wear and 8 and then I realized that it was because I was pregnant! I'm only 5'4. I was up to 135 then Guy had his stroke and I went back to 120. Now with her program etc etc I'm up to 140. I try to workout but every time I start anything she's dragging me somewhere or she needs help or she's destroying something etc etc etc. Or you're up all nighr so you just don't have the energy. Or you want to go for a walk but she doesn't so she goes limp so that ends that. Or you try to do pushups and she's climbing all over ... blah blah blah. No wonder I'm fat. Guest guest
Could that be because of the medication? Lovox made me gain weight, now that I am on flouxetine I don't have the need to eat so much. Cecilia from Perú, mom to Dessirée (05/07/99) Lovely husband _____ I've stopped 34 spam messages. Guest guest
Most definitely. I felt really great on it, but it made me crave food constantly. Sweet, fatty stuff. :-( Found out it's the same drug they gave my husbands grandmother when she was in the hospital and wouldn't eat. Weird thing is, I had been on it before, so I was aware of it, and STILL couldn't stop myself. Course, even when you stop the medications, the weight doesn't go away with it. :-( Get paid .03 per click Get paid .01 per click per minute My ebay auctions! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- I've stopped 1,804 spam messages.
