Does this make sense ? > Isn't NAC high sulfur ? > Yes, NAC is N-acetyl-cysteine. If you have reactions to high sulfur foods then NAC will be problematic. If you are low sulfur, then NAC is ok. There are other ways to support the liver. Milk thistle, lecithin, glycine, glutamine, lots of antioxidants, extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, cod liver oil, flax oil, lots of magnesium and other minerals, to name a few. > If this is caused by reduced detox capasity in my liver, what can I > do to improve this (except chelate...) ? > above, and read more " Amalgam Illness " > I haven't had any spesific liver tests done, other than those that > show wether I have a liver disease or not. > > I guess I have proven to myself that DMSA aggrevates the yeast. Guest guest
While chelating I have been fighting yeast with garlic, cocnut oil, goldenseal and aloe vera juice.Garlic is high sulfur! Diet, Tanalbit and probiotics should in most cases do the job considering dysbiosis. One pill a day was ok, then two pills a day was ok for 3-4 days but then I ended up feeling really bad; more fategued, muscles burning, tired etc. This is a common die off reaction. The die off symptoms usually go away after a few days, but one time I had die off symptoms for over two weeks. But after 14-17 days If felt really great. My doctor said that this reaction is likely to be caused by the fact hat my body (-> liver) is not able to clear out the toxins fast enough. To help with this he wants med to take NAC. Does this make sense ? Isn't NAC high sulfur ?Yup it is high sulfur If this is caused by reduced detox capasity in my liver, what can I do to improve this (except chelate...) ?Milk thistel, castor oil packs, DMG or TMG (betaine), taurine, glycine, lecithin I guess I have proven to myself that DMSA aggrevates the yeast. Will ALA do this as well ?To some extent yes PerK
