Here's IRELAND

10 Day Ireland Pubs & Castles Tour

July 5th - 14th 2006

Dublin City Tour, Glendalough Monastic Settlement, Avoca Handweavers,

Kilkenny Castle, Kyteler's

14th Century Medieval Coaching Inn, Waterford Crystal Factory, Rock Of

Cashel, Cahir Castle,

Barryscourt Castle, Blarney Castle, Kinsale, International Museum of Wine,

Fish Market Tavern

Kinsale, Lakes of Killarney, Muchross House and Friary, Danny Mann's

Traditional Music Pub, Dingle

Peninsula Tour, Bunratty Castle with Medieval Dinner and more.

A small intimate tour of Ireland limited to 10-12 people in order to provide

a more personal experience.

In keeping the tour size small we are able to take advantage of

accommodation, restaurant and

sightseeing options that would not be available to a larger group. With a

small tour size we can veer off

the main tourist areas and get a real feel for these warm wonderful

countries. We will not rush you from

venue to venue and each tour is designed to spend as little time on the

minibus as possible. You may

find yourself staying in a delightful city guest house, a warm country house

hotel or farmhouse and a 200

year old coaching Inn all in the same visit.

Full Irish breakfast each morning and all meals as indicated in itinerary.

All accommodations. Guided

minibus tour with luggage handling. All sightseeing including any entrance

fees. All taxes and service

charges. No hidden costs! $1995 per person double occupancy. $295 per person

single supplement. I

challenge you to find a tour where you will get so much for your money!

Day 1 - Depart for Dublin, Ireland's largest and capital city.

Day 2 - Arrive in Dublin with time enough for some sightseeing and shopping

in Ireland's Capitol City. We will take an

Open Top Bus Tour with hop on and off service this afternoon. Sights we'll

see on the tour are Guinness Storehouse,

Phoenix Park, Old on Distillery, Christ Church Cathedral, St. 's

Cathedral. This evening we will

gather for a Welcoming Pub Dinner to kick off the tour! Overnight in Dublin.

Day 3 - This morning is free to take in Grafton Street for Shopping or to do

some additional sightseeing. This afternoon

we make our way south first stopping at Glendalough, " the valley of the two

lakes " , which harbors one of Ireland's

most atmospheric monastic sites. Established in the 6th century by St.

with most buildings dating from the 8th to 12th

centuries. Our next stop will be Avoca where Avoca Handweavers produce

colorful tweeds in the oldest hand-weaving

mill in Ireland, in operation since 1723. Our journey will take us further

south to Kilkenny, Ireland's loveliest inland city.

Traditional Pub Dinner and Outing. Overnight in Kilkenny.

Day 4 - Following a hearty breakfast we will visit Waterford which was

founded in 853 by the Vikings. We will take

some time to investigate the city before we make our way a short ways out of

the city to Waterford Crystal Factory

which was founded in 1783. Visitors to the factory can follow all stages of

the glass production. This afternoon we return

to Kilkenny to visit Kilkenny Castle and French Classical Gardens. Built in

the 1190's, the castle was occupied right

up until 1935. Dinner at Kyteler's 14th Century Medieval Coaching Inn.

Overnight in Kilkenny.

Day 5 - This morning's journey finds us heading towards Cashel and the Rock

Of Cashel the seat of the Kings of

Munster since the 6th century. The Rock is spectacular sited and can be seen

for miles. Cahir and Cahir Castle is next

on the agenda. Cahir is built on a rocky island in the River Suir and is one

of the most formidable castles in Ireland and a

popular film set. This well-preserved fortress dates from the 13th century.

Our journey will take us even further south to

Carrigtohill and Barryscourt Castle. Barryscourt with its largely intact

bawn wall and corner towers, is a fine example

of an Irish Tower House. From here is just a short ways to Kinsale. Evening

free to explore the many eateries of

Kinsale. Overnight Kinsale.

Day 6 - After breakfast there will be plenty of free time to visit the

pretty seaside village of Kinsale. While in Kinsale we'll

visit Desmond Castle(French Prison) and also host to the International

Museum of Wine. The museum documents

the intriguing story of Ireland's wine links. Dinner tonight at the Fish

Market Tavern in Kinsale. Overnight Kinsale.

Day 7 - Following breakfast we head toward Killarney where visit Muchross

House and Gardens, a magnificent

n mansion and one of Ireland's leading stately homes. We will also

visit Muchross Friary, founded in the 15th

century and in a remarkable state of preservation. The tower is the only

Franciscan tower in Ireland. Killarney has many

good pubs with excellent live entertainment. Tonight it is out to Danny

village of Adare, billed as Ireland's prettiest

village. We will have a bit of free time here for some shopping and

sightseeing. A Trinitarian Priory was founded here

in 1230 and is now a beautiful Catholic church. Also a Augustinian Priory

founded in 1315. Also known as Black

Abbey, this is a very well restored priory. Then on to Bunratty Castle, a

15th century formidable castle which is probably

Ireland's most famous. After a tour of the castle and Bunratty Folk Park we

will partake of a true Medieval Banquet at

the castle. Overnight Bunratty.

Day 10 - Following breakfast we head back toward Dublin with our first stop

being Roscrea and Roscrea Castle. The

castle was built in the 1280's and has furnished rooms and exhibitions.

Further on we come to Emo Court, designed in

1790 by Gandon and a fine example of the neo-classical style. From

here we are off to Celbridge and Castletown

which is the largest and most significant Palladian style country house in

Ireland. Farewell Dinner and Overnight just

outside of Dublin.

Day 11 - Off to the Dublin Airport for our return home.
