I have Amalgam Illness book and read it, but I see different answers to my question all over the place. Should i start with 25mg every 3 hours or 4 hours? And If i start monday (12am) I should go until Wednesday night or thursday night? I am 170 lbs. Any info would be awesome, thanks!! Guest guest Posted July 3, 2008 Report Share Posted July 3, 2008 Jiggler I think if you look at Tks recommendation I belive its recommended starting low (i started at 6 mgs of dmsa), every 4 hrs and this was a stress The book was written a few years ago and current results support lower doses a better schedule may be 10 pm; 2 am; 6 am; as this way in theory you only have to wake up once my understanding is that most people do 3 days on 4 off to start so if Monday at say 10 pm it would be until Thursday at 10 pm also, if you are working through the week, some people find its easier to chelate on the weekend period (ie Thursday at 10 pm to Sunday at 10 pm) > > I ordered 25mg DMSA from Vitamin Research Products. When ALA is added then the dose interval is every 3 h in the day and 4 h at night. And If i start monday > (12am) I should go until Wednesday night or thursday night? Try 3 days and 2 nights to start, so Mon am to Wed pm. > I am 170 lbs. Try 12.5 mg per dose for the first round. If side effects are too much while on round, then stop and try the next round at 5-6 mg. If side effects are not too bad then do several rounds at 12.5 mg before increasing. See TKs general recommendations in the files section. We have found it best to start with low doses. You would empty the capsule on a mirror, take a credit card and devide it as best you can, hoping to keep your bloodlevels stable, put each bit in a new capsule and fill up with Vit C, Magn or whatever you choose. And you're ready to chelate. I had big problems trying to divide especially small amounts of 3mg ALA. from a 100mg capsule. DeanSA then helped us by having specific mg's compounded for us.
