I used to empty it every time I used it because my Mum would check and see - and then make nasty comments! :-( Still, hasn't stopped her borrowing it! Seems we have *more* in common (again!!) Guest guest
>I'd second this - with the proviso that they are not keen on damp carpets Dyson's never seem to do too well in the Good Housekeeping tests though. Often the Sebo comes up best although not on edge cleaning IIRC. I bought a Sebo before I had Steffi on the recommendation of the vac man in and am always surprised to see it do so well in tests. Not because I don't think it doesn't clean well but because people only ever seem to talk about Hoovers and Dysons. Except in NZ where they talk about 'luxing' rather than vac-ing or hoovering cos they use a lot of Electrolux appliances. Best vacs I came across were in Australia. With ultra long cables and straps to put them on your back. The cleaners in all the serviced apartments used them. -- Sue
Guest guest
I'd second this - with the proviso that they are not keen on damp carpets - used my cousins most impressed but the carpet had damp patches (puppy piddle) and the dyson wasn't that happy about it - did an excellent job all the same also easy to take apart and unclog and do 'first aid' on. When my old electroluxe gives up the ghost I'll get one. Caroline Jersey > > Hannah asked how good a Dyson was: > > > I agree that they are brilliant. Borrowed MILs t'other day - very embarassing seeing the carpets looking like they should! Scurried around emptying it before she could see how much it was picking up. Shame I can't justify one as only have a couple of carpets, mainly floor-boards. I would definitely recommend it if you have lots of carpets Jenni ( & Gethyn) 17yrs, Mari 3yrs (H/B) Babi Bach: 38wks+5 (Planning Home Water-Birth) " If you don't know your options - you don't have any "
