Guest guest
Is it safe to take zinc as outlined below? I remember reading this from Haleys work: 9. Even more concerning is the synergistic toxicity effects of other elements in amalgams, which increase the toxicity of mercury. For example, Zinc (or Zn) is a needed element for body health and is found in very low percentages in dental amalgams when compared to mercury. However, Zn+2 is a synergist that enhances mercury toxicity. Studies have shown that solutions in which amalgams have been soaked were " severely cytoxic initially when Zn release was highest. Mag, 100mg 4x/d & increase to 200 in a few weeks Take with each meal and possibly at bedtime. Adjust to the max level that is not laxative. If it's working but you can't get enough in, try Taurine, 0.5-1g with meals (Adult doses, scale to weight for child) Avoid oxide form, take citrate, malate, aspartate, or amino acid chelate. Ca should also be given so the ratio of Ca to Mg intake from all sources (food & pills) is somewhere between 1:2 & 2:1. Vit E, 1600IU/d (adult, scale to weight.) CoQ10, 75-200mg/d (adult, scale to weight.) Zinc Picollinate, 20mg + 1mg/lb-bodyweight Flax Oil, 10+g/d (1-2 tbsp) or CLO (1/2 - 1 tbsp) Borage oil, 1+g/d (1-2 tsp) Milk thistle, 1-2 cap/meal (adult, scale to weight.) Folic acid, 400-800mcg/d (adult, scale to weight.)
Guest guest
- what to make of this experiment, I don't know. What I can tell you is that zinc is critical in many enzymes, and that mercury knocks the metals out of the active sites thereby disabling the enzymes. The end result is that we piss out a lot of zinc. Sure enough, when tested we find RBC zinc low. So, we need to take it (in some absorbable form) as a replacement. Andy's recommendations have increased over the years as he has become more comfortable (he generally started out very conservative in just about all recommendation). He now recommends as below, while recognizing that this would be toxic for a non-mercury poisoned person. That's the best I can do on that one. If you find out more, let me know. (I had hear about this claim a while back, but never really paid it much attention. When I first got involved in this, I was paying attention to what Haley was saying, but there has been some erratic stuff out of him over the years. At this point, I find it hard to know what to make of him; and I certainly wouldn't be one to rely on him myself.)
