hair test #191 - high chromium, high silver --Jackie

Hey Jackie,

I've compared my hair test last year to this year and silver was

slightly elevated then and now it is really elevated. I can't think

of any exposure? However, I had a mouthful of silver fillings for

years. Could I finally be excreting silver after years of exposure and

my body holding onto it? Same for the chromium - years of a stainless

steel rod (with chromium) in my back. I don't know of any other

chromium exposure?

And the big question - why don't alot of people have silver toxicity

on this forum? We're all here because of silver mercury fillings?? I

would think it would be common?

Thanks,

Val

My silver came back literally off the charts on my hair test also and I can't

think of any exposure that was suggested.

I'm wondering if it came from the 3 metal crowns I had removed about that time

or just before, they were a metal that had turned blackish, very toxic looking

and I'm wondering if they were loaded with silver. I think I'll wait a year or

so and do another hair test and see where the silver is. I'm mercury poisoned

as well, also high uranium and arsenic higher than it should have been but not

like the silver.

----------If you can't think of any other sources, then this is probably very

likely the sources of your metals. It would certainly make sense, they were in

your body a long time. And from reading these groups, especially A-M a long

time ago, I know they did say that the metals don't come out in any particular

order, and you may dump one for awhile, and then another, etc. so this may fit

your case.------Jackie

And the big question - why don't alot of people have silver toxicity

on this forum? We're all here because of silver mercury fillings?? I

would think it would be common?

----------That's a very good question, and I really don't recall reading

anything in particular about this, and I don't recall seeing it very often on

hair tests I have looked at. I do recall one person who had extemely elevated

silver, but they used silver cartridges to filter their hot tub, so that

explained that.

One possible explanation might be that alot of people only do one hair test,

and if this is something that typically shows up later, we just never see it? I

don't know, I'm just speculating.

This is probably a good question for Andy. I can email him with this post

number, and we'll see if he has time to respond.--------Jackie

----------Probably possible, but I really have no idea. Amalgam does contain

a fair amount of silver, if I remember correctly, so I suppose a metal crown

could also. So you have no way of finding out, old dental

-----------Yes, another hair test might be interesting, especially when you

have multiple things going on. The uranium and arsenic might have to do with

your geological location, or other things. If your hair test is at Dean's

website, it would be interesting to look at it again. Do you recall if I

commented on it before Marcia? Because I'm not always around and don't always

Yes, Val, and excellent question.

I would value Andy's opinion on this.

I've not seen this to come up often (5% of hair tests). You are right,

considering our exposure it should come out more.

Are amalgams not 40% silver?

Do those of you with high silver have dramatic behaviour? Or let me

re-phrase that :-), are those of you that have high silver considered as

dramatic by family and friends (no matter how justified or defensible you

think it is :-)

I've found that to be quite accurate so far.

Thanks,

==========================

Yes. My family is so used to me having a " reaction " now and then

that they just takes it in stride. In a couple of days, everyting is

fine again ;) Andy's other descriptions are pretty accurate, too.

sigh. Will selenium and vit e chelate it out? Should I become an

actress?

----------So you're not the one with the hot tub silver cartridges? Did you

post your hair test to Dean's website? If so, what number?----------Jackie

No. No hot tub exposure at all. My hair test was posted to Deans list, number

182.

----------Probably possible, but I really have no idea. Amalgam does contain a

fair amount of silver, if I remember correctly, so I suppose a metal crown could

also. So you have no way of finding out, old dental records?----------Jackie

No, there'd be no way to get the old dental records, Dentists no longer in

practice, ect. There were amalgams under those metal crowns as well that came

out a couple of months ago.

No, you didn't comment on that one, it was during the time you were gone. I

got some feedback from Dave and Dean, and sure appreciate all the insight I get!

Hi,

I am the one who had hot tub silver ion cartridges. But I also had a

mouth full of amalgams (now gone since Nov. 2006) and who knows what

other exposures. My silver level was 38! You need to look at the

numbers, because my hair test a year later after chelating and amalgam

removal showed silver as still all the way over in the red but reduced

to 2.1 from the previous high of 38. That is a huge reduction. My

2006 hair test is number 25.

And to those who were wondering about if having high silver means you

behave the way Cutler describes in the Hair Analysis book...well, yes.

I guess I did have some of those traits like for instance I am a

lifelong musician. I played in a symphony for literally decades.

I'll say no more since it would be self-incriminating! ;>)

Many of us do have elevated silver because it's a component of

amalgam. Mercury amalgams contain a few other metals, tin and silver

are two of them. Why we don't all have silver poisoning...probably

because 49% of the filling is mercury. Mercury that is released as

vapor, so it's inhaled, as well as swallowed. Also mercury is the

most toxic metal to humans other than plutonium. Silver is toxic also,

but at different amounts. The amount in amalgam is probably not

released at such a high rate as the mercury. I don't think it

vaporizes like mercury.

If the metal turned blackish..it was not stainless steel, but some

other " metal " and could likely have had silver in it.

If your test met counting rules...the silver is not likely to be truly

that high.
