Guest guest
Narice, what a scary time. Thank God your son caught Phil before he took a tumble on the stairs. Hope he is feeling better this day. Prayers and hugs for all your family. ~Deb from KS flipper759@... wrote: Hello and Happy Thanksgiving Tuesday night Phil began bleeding with diarrhea again. He tried to go upstairs to the bathroom but was staggering and almost fell backwards down the stairs had it not been for my 18 year old. After I cleaned him up Hospice came to care for him and settle him in bed where he slept well. We set up a bed and commode downstairs so he won't have to tackle the stairs again. Phil got 2 units of blood yesterday and is tired and sleeping a lot but otherwise doing well. Guest guest
Narice, I think about you and Phil constantly, you're always in my prayers. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with all this at this time of year, but then when would be a good time, huh? Just know if there was anything I could do for you to take away the pain or help with the work, I'd be there, as I know we all would. You've blessed me so many times in small ways you'd never even have guessed. I pray for God's blessings on all of you, and for peace and comfort and courage. Guest guest
> > narice, i read much more than i write on this message board... i guess knowing there are so many people out there battling the same disease that i am makes me feel much less alone. i have read many entries regarding phil and his condition.....i'm so sorry it has come to this for both of you. its seems so unfair to contract this disease, and the disease itself can be equally unfair... it affects all of us in so many different ways, and hardly any two of us are experiencing the same symptoms. at times i feel a little guilty because, even though i have colon cancer, i have felt so good after surgery. (chemo is starting soon so i may not feel this way in a week!) so many of you out there are suffering terribly because of this disease, i just wish the suffering would go away for everyone. i don't know if anyone here is familiar with a group called 'chemo angels' but its a tremendous support group. i WAS a chemo angel prior to being diagnosed with cancer (how's that for irony?). you can sign up as a volunteer to 'angel' cancer patients currently in treatment, or you can sign up as a patient. i have recently done the latter....although it feels strange to do so....because i think it s a good thing to have as many people pulling for you as possible. if anyone is interested, you can find it by doing a search for 'chemo angels'. narice, i wish i could wave a magic wand over phil and make all his suffering vanish. all i can say is you have many, many good people out here hoping for the best... take care, mark > > > > Hello and Happy Thanksgiving > > Tuesday night Phil began bleeding with diarrhea again.
