How's your man? Sleeping ? Up ? Have you eaten? Has he eaten? Right now I am falling a sleep. I better go to bed, but first I'll have a nice mug of chocolate milk !!!!!! Tomorrow I will have guests, so I better have a good nite sleep. Love and prayers, Lydia Hi Lydia... Glenn had a fairly good day today...was awake most of the day... ate well, talked well, laughed and smiled....we even watched the movie " March of the Penguins " ....never did get him outside, tho. He actually told me today that " he WILL drive again " ....do you think that is denial or confusion?? Confusion is definitely getting more prominent...he sometimes can't remember a word or like today, he forgot his pin # on his bank card he uses almost every day... but all in all I spent most of the day with him awake..... Hoping you are sleeping well right now!! Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle Caregiver to Glenn
Guest guest
Okay, Lydia, over here we have fluorescent bulbs that fit into regular lamps. I don't know if you have them there, but they last as long five years and they use something like 1/3 of the electricity of a regular incandescent light bulb. See if you can find them there. There's bound to be a way to get around him...I know, let him think those new bulbs are his idea...lol mily wrote: Donelle, Jolene and , First of all, thank you very much for your advises. , I really liked the idea of candles, it may not spread light, but it spreads a lot of warmth, which is also so nice. Donelle, thank you for the special lamp advice, but you told me that they are expensive and do very little, so I'll just pass on that one. Actually, you won't believe me, but the computer's light, does help me. I used to feel worse years ago. And last, just want to add that my husband is a funny man. He doesn't mind spending extra money on good clothes (for him and the family) or get good quality house items, BUT when it comes to " lights " he drives me crazy, he says that I waste money... He only picks on lights. I suppose we all have some strange ways of seeing different things in a different way. And then, electricity is more expensive overhere than it is in the States. Any way .... Guest guest
Lydia, I think you're absolutely great that you can even communicate with us in our language. You'd really be in stitches if you saw me trying to remember my college Italian....you'd never figure it out...lol mily wrote: Dear friends, I have just realized of how many beautiful spelling mistakes I make. Guest guest
Lydia, We all make mistakes. In this group it is always over looked since we know what you are trying to say. And we all care for each other so much that we do not notice any of this. Guest guest
Lydia: I LOVE the spelling mistakes. They make me laugh and I need more of that. I can't say or write a single word in Italian so keep on doing them. . . I love " fool " of candles. In a message dated 12/3/2005 4:56:18 P.M. Guest guest
Lydia: Your English is way better than my Italian ever would be. LOL. Actually your English is excellent, and you do very well. Jolene Re: Uploaded a photo of Glenn's arm....Lydia Lydia, If he keeps turning off the lights, light some candles in some of those rooms. Sounds like he is doing pretty well. Enjoy each day together. Did you like March of the Penguins? I cried when I saw it. It is so touching to see how committed those little things are to family and each other. I wish humans could be so loyal to each other. I just watched Apollo 13 for the 3rd time and loved it as much as before. It makes me want to read about it and learn more. It was on my Dish TV tonight. Earlier, I rented 4 movies but couldn't figure out how to get the sound on my DVD player. Take care, Donelle. Thinking of you. Thanks ... I should have thought of getting movies before; he loves movies. We both enjoyed March of the Penguins; I even stayed awake the whole time!! I also cried.... I wonder if that's where the expression " He/She's a tough ole bird " comes from?? Didn't realize they have such a tough dedicated life. Those winters in the South Pole look brutal...and I guess I shouldn't complain about MD winters...LOL Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle Caregiver to Glenn
Guest guest
I haven't seen the March of the Penguins yet, but looking forward to it. We went to see Harry Potter yesterday after noon. I dozed off a couple during early on, then it started getting exciting and managed to stay away. I don't know I think the magic of HP has wore off. Hard to get used to the new Dumbledore - just not the same at all. I think they are so busy trying to re-create the set or back ground that they lose something in the interpretation of the story. I guess Goblet of Fire was not a book that impressed me much as I have only a vague recollection of what happened in the book. I may have to read it again to refresh my memory. Is a shame we go to a movie so seldom and end up being rather unimpressed. Good thing I had gift cert tickets. Son Jay and wife got them for me last year for Xmas. Guess that is it..
