Guest guest
Here's some data on literacy from the US Dept of Labor National Agricultural Worker Survey (NAW): Most farm workers have trouble understanding written instructions, even in their native languages. Twenty percent have less than a fourth grade education, and 38 percent have only four to seven years of schooling. An estimated 85 percent of farm workers would have difficulty obtaining information from written materials in any language. U.S. Department of Labor.
