I don't want to take any chances. I'm spending a good part of my life undoing mercury poisoning and I minimise any further possible Hg contamination......if I have the inconvience of not eating fish.....so be it. I have no way of knowing if a fish has high or low or no mercury in it.....but I know some fish do....so I avoid all fish. Sunshine
Guest guest
Hi . Personally I rarely eat fish, but this has as much to do with the possible mercury in it as the fact that I have just never been crazy about it. I have always enjoyed my other meats much more, and for myself, I have honestly not felt like it gives me the same type of protein fulfullment as other meat. Not sure what that's about, but anyway, for those reasons, I rarely eat it, although I don't absolutely avoid it 100% either. I do avoid high mercury fish, such as tuna though. Anyway, in your case with a very limited diet, you may want to consider eating " some " low-mercury fish, although I'm still not sure I would eat it every day. I guess I would try it and see how you feel. Sardines would be a good choice, because the smaller fish are supposed to have less mercury in them than the larger fish. There are some links in the Links section of our group, under Fish and Hg that you could check out. Good luck.--------Jackie In frequent-dose-chelation H wrote: Was wondering what people's views are on eating fish. My diet has come so restricted im thinking about addin a tin of sardines each day. Guest guest
I have heard that sardines are safe because they don't live long enough to collect much of anything. I personally don't eat any fish though and would research this before adding anything.
