Dear Marty:

Happy Birthday to you! Wish I was with you to celebrate and hope to see you

soon when you come for your son's wedding. I want to talk to you more about

the side effects you are having but I have to get ready to take my ten year

old son to his basketball game. Enjoy your birthday as best you can

considering your " prep " and I know all will be well.

Hi guys,

I'm sorry...guilty as charged....

I have been in " mute " mode lately...I read every single message, but have

I'm sorry for being selfish...

Five weeks after the last chemo session, still not even close to being

" ME " ..

The oxaly neuropathy just keeps getting worse and worse in the hands and

feet....actually getting a bit hard to walk, but I keep waiting for it to

start reversing direction and getting better. I hope that it will.

My radio show keeps me busy in the mornings, afternoons I rest and take care

of other business.

Tomorrow, meet with the anesthesiologist in prep for my hernia repair

operation Dec. 25 (yep it's Israel, remember--Merry XMas!)

Monday, it's another 'scope job...maybe they can get it through this time!!!

Already the prep has begun...yeck!!!

Next week, first (one month) follow-up with the onky-doc...wil be doing a

PET-CT as soon as approval comes through. Meanwhile, the weekly blood tests

seem to be improving (slowly)...no more anemia, platelets are reasonable and

white count is coming back to normal.

Oh, by the way, Happy 54th B-Day to me tomorrow, Sunday!!!

All of my love to everyone out there fighting the fight, hang in there,

remember, it almost never always keeps getting worse...

Happy Birthday, Marty!! Hang in there, it has to get better, doesn't it. At

least you don't have all the nausea and other crap that goes along with the

chemo.

And don't stay away so long next time. Just say hi so we know you're still

out there kicking cancer butt. :)

Good to hear from you Marty and HAPPY BIRTHDAY.!!!!

Hey is okay, somedays we feel like posting and some days we don't..

Well be patient you will feel like " YOU " soon enough. Maybe the hernia

repair will help.. Get your mind off one annoyance to deal with another.

Glad to hear bloodwork is getting back to normal anyway. Doc said my wbc is

still low.

Glad the radio show keeps you busy and other business as well. You will

feel better soon, I know it was at least a couple months before I fell like

myself again. Just seemed to hit me one day, golly I feel normal. Go

figure.

Hang in there fella. Cheers Jolene

Hi Marty,

That problem you are having with oxal, well I am way past my

treatment and my feet are mostly numb. Shoes don't fit and hard to

walk sometimes.

Oh Joy!!! 8-)

We are alive, yes?

I am on the way to moving to Albuquerque.

Nope, outsiders really don't understand. Many mean well though. I

always try to just ignore the insensitivity if I can see they mean

well.

Sad to say, especially since I met so many nice people here on this

board, but I wish we could all be the outsiders. You think!!! Ingrid

Yep, this is a club where I don't recommend anyone become a member.

However, if you already have been selected, this is the place to be!

P.S., prayers are continuing, especially to Donelle & Glenn, Narice &

Phil.
