Guest guest
Hi Lydia I too am like your husband - always turning off lights and preaching to everyone to keep them off " they aren't free " blah blah blah. My husband recently taught me this - at our current electric cost (.09 cents, USD per kilowatt hour) leaving a 1000 watt bulb running for 10 hours would cost ..09 cents! (1000 watts per hour = 1kw) so 20 hours would be .18 cents, a whole day approx .22 cents etc. Wow! Well, depending on the size of your house and how many lights you leave on - well it's just NOT that much. I wonder how many hourse he runs the TELEVISION!!!!! Well that's another story probably - takes much more electricity!!!! LOL I would welcome any suggestions anyone has to help with SAD. I already have it bad - only a few weeks into the dim and cold season. I try to keep busy, to do errands etc. But sometimes I am so low I can't even go out and just feel like sititng around the house. Help! BTW your spelling and grammar are precious! Thanks for being a ray of light on this board! It is really quite good. Is it sunny in Italy right now?
