Guest guest
Bernadette I must issue one warning when we talk about Better Breathers. While some of their groups may be knowledgeable and helpful with PF, many are filled with only COPD and Asthma patients and facilitators only knowledgeable about those diseases. If so, you need to be very careful regarding any information you receive or anything you're told as there are significant difference between COPD and PF. Advice given for one could be quite bad for the other, even life threatening. Not saying that sharing some of the general issues might not be helpful, just saying be very careful in both giving and receiving advice and information. > > Here is a support group offering education and emotional to improve quality for those with lung disease, their families and friends. > > Date: second monday of every month Questions about the meeting? > Time: 1:30-3pm call the facilitators > Location: Bosher Auditorium, Chippenham Hospital : > 7101 Jahnke Rd Glover: > Richmond,Va 23225 You can also reach your local > American Lung Association > at > JOIN US > FREE valet Parking-Refreshments provided > New topic and speaker each month > > Bernadette Sneed >
Guest guest
You are correct about this but in the month of Aug I invited Dr moses to speak about Pulmonary Fibrosis. He also was the transplant Dr. for the VA Hospital and MCV when the program was open and I worked very closely with him and fellow pulmonary docters with these patients He also on different boards addressing all patients concerns and addressing thier needs with dme companies regarding oxygen. so I thought maybe if anyone was in the nieghborhood they could attend and ask him any questions. Myself and 2 others have pulmonary fibrosis in this group and one has had a transplant and he is one of the facilatators. Just FYI...thanks > > > > Here is a support group offering education and emotional to improve > quality for those with lung disease, their families and friends. > > > > Date: second monday of every month > Questions about the meeting? > > Time: 1:30-3pm > call the facilitators > > Location: Bosher Auditorium, Chippenham Hospital > : > > 7101 Jahnke Rd > Glover: > > Richmond,Va 23225 > You can also reach your local > > > American Lung Association > > > at > > JOIN US > > FREE valet Parking-Refreshments provided > > New topic and speaker each month > > > > Bernadette Sneed > > >
Guest guest
Bernadette That is great. Just cautioning people to be careful in groups, talking to individuals, or even in some doctors offices and rehab facilities. I always warn people with COPD (and PF) when they come here that much of what we say or do, they must not copy. > > > > > > Here is a support group offering education and emotional to improve > > quality for those with lung disease, their families and friends. > > > > > > Date: second monday of every month > > Questions about the meeting? > > > Time: 1:30-3pm > > call the facilitators > > > Location: Bosher Auditorium, Chippenham Hospital > > : > > > 7101 Jahnke Rd > > Glover: > > > Richmond,Va 23225 > > You can also reach your local > > > > > American Lung Association > > > > > at > > > JOIN US > > > FREE valet Parking-Refreshments provided > > > New topic and speaker each month > > > > > > Bernadette Sneed > > > > > >
