Guest guest
Sorry to hear that Narice, you surely did not need that.. God Bless Jolene My Hospice Experience Unfortunately I DID NOT have a good experience with Hospice. I did not feel they supported me much at all. Many reasons that I will explain later. Guest guest
I guess I wasn't the only one. When we signed up for Hospice I guess I was expecting some sort of miracle people. All they did was have someone drop off his medical equipment, come once a day to see him for a few minutes, and teach me how to give him all of his medicines. I was so nervous to be giving him medicine, but she right out told me that he was dying anyway so not to worry about giving him too much. I was 24 years old with three children 4 and younger to take care of also. My husband did all he could after he came home to help me though. I was mentally and physically exhausted. But I'd do it again for my Dad in a heartbeat. My Dad only had hospice care for about 2-3 weeks. I guess I was just expecting too much. They also came to give him a sponge bath and wash his hair. He started refusing to let them shave him...he said NO. I hope others have a more pleasant experience with the hospice folks. I'm sure all in all they're great. Take care everyone. flipper759@... wrote: Unfortunately I DID NOT have a good experience with Hospice. I did not feel they supported me much at all. Many reasons that I will explain later.
