Oh my goodness. Donelle, is good your girlfriend was there to at least help

you get him to bedroom. Well you might want someone to still check out his

hip, it could be cracked. Richie fell in one of his woozy moments - not

sure where he fell anymore, outside or in the house. But later they said he

broke his hip. But that is same side where cancer was gnawing on his leg

bone anyway, so it was hard for him to walk as it was. As hard as it was for

him to walk, I would get up at night, and bed would be empty - and I would

catch him walking around doing something. One day - I think I went to store

an came home, he complained of not feeling well, well I found that he had

stuck 4 or 5 nitro patches on his chest and back. Scared the crap out of

me.. Think I call ambulance but maybe not just had help me get him to

car so I took him to emergency. I hated to take him to emergency for his

cancer because they would inevitably send him to San since that is

where is ONC was. My Onc nurse Mildred said ifyou go to emergency make sure

you call me because they will send you to San cause they don't know

anything. I thought it so strange that ER people have no idea what goes on

in the rest of the hospital?????? Jolene

Well, Jolene, the rest of the day was quite uneventful....LOL I did stay

home from work and I called Hospice and they ordered a walker and it is sitting

right by his lazy boy chair!!! I haven't even napped today....too hyper!!

Which is so NOT me!! I even got Christmas decorations out, which I haven't

done for several years, but I thought I should for Glenn...have a small 4 ft.

pretend tree that our cat will love and probably knock over a 100 times...LOL

Can't find the lights, so have to buy some tomorrow...but tree is up and

about 1/2 of my Santa collection....that's enough...I'm done!! LOL

Glenn is complaining, well, really just wincing...right hip to knee is

hurting. The way he fell, he hit his hip on the toilet on the way down. As

hard

as he fell, without uttering a word...he'll probably be stiff and achy for a

few days...all I heard was crash, bam, thud...poor guy, sure woke me up from

a deep sleep!!!

Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle

Caregiver to Glenn
