Ideally I'd like to go *NOW " but it's not practical; Rosh Hashanah is next week, then Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) and Zehava will be home from " sem " for that, then we go to Israel for Sukkot, so it's all not going to be practical till late October at the earliest. When does it start getting really unpleasantly cold in NY? Ruthie

The latest I've been is mid-Nov and it was pleasant enough then (we went around the Bronx Zoo and needed coats but wasn't freezing). I hanker after doing my Xmas shopping there though. One year, I will do a trip around second weekend in December, probably in two years when my daughter's birthday won't fall on or next to the weekend. -- Sue

I've been in January though and that *is* cold!! Having said that I normally go every April and sometimes I've been wearing shorts and a t shirt and sometimes I've still had my winter woollies on! http://www.foxstitch.co.uk/

Sort of depends on the year, I think. It doesn't usually get snowed under until January or February, but can get bitterly cold and windy before that. I would say you have until mid-November. Basing this on Ohio weather, because I haven't spent much time in NY (and hated what time I did spend there), Phyllis

Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already.

My baby is due in January and I've checked with the airline - I'm fine to fly in November. They want a note from my midwife (initially stated doctor but I told them I wasn't ill and was only seeing a midwife) a month before I fly to say that I am fit and well. Seem daft to me as a lot could happen in a month! http://www.foxstitch.co.uk/
Guest guest
, if you are going to NYC in November, and Ruthie's going then too, you could meet up and have a NCT Real Coffee! I could even take a day trip there and join you! Joyce -----Original Message----- My baby is due in January and I've checked with the airline - I'm fine to fly in November. Sister in law But honestly , even if it doesn't make pure financial sense, the choice that I have over there, compared with here, makes it worth while.
