Micobacterium Avium or Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis

Hi Everyone, I had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Raghu today after all my

tests and my PFT's today and my own observation of my O2 saturation (which has

been staying around 98-99% even under exertion) and he said I do not have

Pulmonary Fibrosis but do have a " mild " interstitial lung disease of either

micobacterium avium or hypersensitivity pneumonitis groupings. He said I could

wait a year to see him again unless something changes with my condition and

there is a good chance that my condition may stay stable as it is the rest of my

life. Of course I have realized that anything can happen at any time (as it did

in the spring of 2007) so I am going to go about my life enjoying everyday as

much as humanly possible. I believe that I was either exposed to something or

contracted something in the spring of 2007 that has taken me a couple years to

fully recover from but I am as good as I can be at the moment.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these conditions and have them

resolve completely? My CT still shows some 'unresolved' areas. I am going to

continue to take good care of my health overall to give my immune system the

best chance possible and think positively.

Thanks so much everyone for all the wonderful support you've given me over these

past months.

Peggy E. (mild ILD, GERD)
