Kidney problems

Hello Group..

I haven't posted in a while but have been reading the messages

alot. First let me just say that I am praying for everyone in this

group. This is such a horrible disease to deal with either as a

patient or caregiver. Narice I am so sorry for your loss...everything

I have read about you and your dear husband leads me to believe that

you are/were both angels here on earth..stay strong.

My mom Sharon (stage iv cc) is not doing well and so I would like

to ask for special prayers and thoughts. Her lymphedema in both her

legs have led to infections which are now being treated with IV

antibiotics. She just went in for her 7th chemo treatment, but they

had to stop because her cocktail apparently is not working. Also a

blockage was found between her kidneys and bladder so her kidneys are

now not working properly. She was only urinating every 8 to 12 hours

before this was discovered. Yesterday I was told that they would

need to do a procedure where they insert drainage tubes into her

kidneys to clear them up. I was told I would be called when the

procedure was scheduled so that I could be there and talk with the

doctors (this was in the morning). I called to check on her in the

late afternoon and was told that they took her to do the procedure.

I'm 2 hours away from where she is at and so I couldn't be there

with/for her and have been unable to talk with her (or any doctors)

since yesterday morning. Needless to say I am a mess...has anyone in

the group dealt with any kidney related issues to do their cancer?

I am sorry for the rambling...just so frustrated, scared and every

other emotion) that I'm at a loss right now.
