Guest guest
Pat, I am so sorry that you are so upset with this news. Please think of it of a way of getting closer to being normal and getting better. Look at the bright side too. We all are so scared of the cancer coming back. This news is NOT cancer but a repair!!!!! This is not the worst news you could of had. I understand that getting more surgery is no fun. But this will make you feel better in the long run. Winter might be the better time to get this done since you cannot be too active outside. By the time warmer weather gets here you will be feeling so much better and ready to spend lots of time outside doing what ever. I am Praying for you and trying to will good vibes towards you!!! Guest guest
Pat, If I am hearing you right you have an abses? My wife got and abses and they did not do major surgery, but put in a drain to drain out the " stuff " . She was in the hospital another 1.5 weeks for that. She was able to go home with it and got it taken out about a week later. They gave her a colostomy to keep that part of the colon clean. She has had the colostomy for about 6 weeks now and gets it reversed in Jan. The worse thing would to keep having the abses grow, that is why the colostomy. Good luck. and hang in there.
