Guest guest
I always wonder, is this truly a bile thing, or could it be mercury lightening the stool? Usually this happens on the third day of ALA chelation for my son. There is a bit of taurine in his chelator pills. What do you think? Guest guest
can pale poop also indicate bad bacteria overgrowth or yeast? > > I always wonder, is this truly a bile thing, or could it be mercury > lightening the stool? This is based on what I read here: http://ibdcrohns.about.com/od/otherdigestivediseases/a/orangestool.htm " Bile and bacteria is what gives stool its final brown color. " Not the most definitive source in the world but I have read similar things in several other places. I have orange stools and while I know from a liver biopsy that I have very minor cholestasis, which would reduce bile flow, I also had very low beneficial bacteria on my last CDSA. So I think exploring both avenues is helpful if you have pale or off colored stools. I am planning to experiment with bile salts as well as doing a fairly large dose of probiotics for about 2 months.
