Guest guest
my PIL would adore a picture of their 3 surviving children and a picture of their by then 7 grand children together.. Lonnie sounds like quite a job getting everyone together, We are also spread out across the north and made a weekend of it at my parents. The actual photo was taken at a local hotel (one where we all had our wedding receptions!) and we had a lovely meal afterwards. Its nice when a whole family gets together for any reason other than a funeral. Maybe your having a cere mony of some sort for the new baby and the two events could be combined. That way you could keep the portrait secret from your PIL. Liz Nicholls SAHM 4, 2, new babe Nov Sheff Chair, PNSGL, Editor
Guest guest
<<<We are also spread out across the north and made a weekend of it at my parents>>>> As my pil said no presents (even though I said that was not acceptable <g>) we would like to keep this a secret from them so they won't know that this will happen, that is where the problem is as they tend to ring all of their children every weekend so I think we shall have to do some serious lying through our teeth that weekend so dh and I will " visit friends in Bristol " , sil " friends in N London " and not sure what bil will say but he will visit someone lol... Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already.
Guest guest
We feel very glad that we managed to get a photograph of MIL with her 3 children, their partners and all her grandchildren during her 70th birthday party - which was December last year. She looks so well and happy on it. Within a few weeks of that party she developed the back pain which was eventually diagnosed as multiple secondaries from unknown primary and led to her death in June. It's a good photo to have, and, as it was taken with a digital camera, we have been able to do as many copies as have been required.
