Guest guest
> First of all, I have no clue who Flylady is but, from what you guys have all been saying, I am absolutely positive she does not live in the reality of our world and does not have to deal with what we live with 24/7. Well, Flylady is the reason that my house functions at all and that I actually feel some small degree of control over my life. Just as she says, if I can't do her job, I delete it and I don't worry one minute about it. But things work around here; meals are planned and prepared, the laundry is done and generally put away, and I haven't bounced a check in ONE YEAR because I actually know how much money I have. I am sure she is not for everyone; I haven't met anything that was for everyone, but she has been great for me. Salli

You know, I could understand if this crap Chris's company was pulling was due to economy but it isn't. It is due to stupid people working in admin jobs. They are complete freaking incompatant idiots! Guest guest
No, the nuclear power plant is Jacquie. works in satellite communications. He actually likes his job, he likes his job very much actually. No one there likes the way that the admin people run things though. There has been talk of bringing in a union to stop the crap that is going on. The one thing that they did with the pay Chris's boss called the dept of labor about and they told him that since they were using those two days as a transition peroid they could get away with it once. That incident lost us 36 hours overtime. Assholes. The new payroll software leaves to much room for error. It isn't set up to handle all the variables that affect pay, like the shift differential for working midnights, overtime is another hard thing for them to enter. There was a couple times a year or so ago when they forgot to pay people. We expected to get paid on Friday, the money wasn't there. Direct deposit. We finally seen it on Tuesday. Happened another time as well. They had to send home the one guy in payroll because there had been threats on his life. It wasn't good. So, considering that they can screw up normal operations, we have no doubts that doing something new will cause them to screw up even worse where they don't pay people what they worked. Guest guest
Hi Libby. I am not even sure I introduced myself to you. Yea, I have seven kids, all nine and under. One of them has a formal dx and we are going to be getting three more of them dx'd in the next two months. The hope is that the company that works for will be sold soon where they can work for somewhere *normal*. Don't be embarassed. It takes a while to keep everyone straight. Every time I go to name all 5 of Salli's kids I forget one (never Putter though) and I have been on this list for a while. Guest guest
Georga, I'm thinking: 7 kids nine and under. One formally diagnosed. Waiting for three diagnoses. Running own book business. Husband being paid intermittently. Whoa. Okay, now I'M feeling stressed and it's not MY world. I am amazed by your humor and ability to support others. And I don't think Flylady's house would be any cleaner than yours under the same circumstances. Maggie oops, I forgot the many pets...I know of the guinea pigs and the lizard. ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Guest guest
The question would be what century is their admin depts in? As for Chris's goofy work scheduals, it is just a thing that he has to put up with in the field that he is in. However, to make sure that everything is covered when someone quits or goes on vacation his boss has been known to come up with some real off the wall scheduals. Mike is schedually challanged. On the surface, a bit of it seems practical and useful, but dig deeper and it seems a reversal of all the rights women fought for for a hundred years.
