Guest guest
After trying epsom salt I have come to the conclusion that liver sulfation must be my problem (I also had a bad reaction to DHEA). The problem is that epsom salt feels like it has only cured half the problem. I noticed that taurine and glutathione are recommened for sulfation on this site: http://tuberose.com/Liver_Detoxification.html Should I take NAC instead of Glutathione? I remember AI not recommending Glutathione. Also what typical dose of NAC do people on these boards use? Also what about the feingold diet? Anyone have success with it? Guest guest
===I am on Feingold. I have a fast phase one liver and my sulfation hasn't been enough of an issue to warrant any action. I have a feeling of being sped up all the time and aggitation and swaying. Andy suggested following feingold saying that in about 20% of the cases it helps. I find it has been incredible helpful. I never knew why when I ate an orange, it felt like my heart was going to race out of my chest. i would get anxious and aggitated. Since following feingold I don't have these reactions often or at all. Certainly not the way I used to. I do know that if you are sulfur restricted and doing feingold, the restriction is tough. If you are sulfur restricted and want to follow feingold I have a list of low sulfur food that are okay on feingold that Andy put in my file review. Colette > > Also what about the feingold diet? Guest guest
I like you need more sulfates. I do fine with glucosamine sulfate, .. I used to take more NAC and will re-experiment again between the two.. probably opting to take both as I really find it helpful.. Sulfate supplementation totally eliminates my endometrial pain... Poof in one dose and it went away!!!! Needless to say I am a firm believer in supplementation and it is also important to experiment with dose amounts. Everyone is different > Some people like me need alot more than the normal dosing say on the bottle. Andy writes about it in his book Amalgam Illness.. very good information.. If you dont have it buy it ,, it is worth alot.. essential to getting the help you need.. nanci -------------------------- Note from moderator: Not everyone does well with NAC, and some people should avoid it. It is *very* sulfury (not sulfate), so people who need to restrict sulfur foods should also stay away from NAC. Some people who are low plasma cysteine may do well with NAC. If you try it, you should start with a very low dose. And NAC does not contain sulfate, which is needed for liver sulfation. It contains cysteine, which is very sulfury, and has to do with your cysteine status and sulfur food sensitivity, not sulfate status. So if you know you are sulfur food sensitive, then DO NOT take NAC. Glucosamine sulfate supplies sulfate, so it is good for liver sulfation, just like epsom salt baths, and it is ok to use even if you are sulfur food sensitive, because these are two different things. Sulfur food sensitivities has to do with plasma cysteine levels, and liver sulfation has to do with plasma sulfate levels. Hope this helps.---------Jackie
Guest guest
My nutritionist suggested I improve my sulfation via molybdenum for a body odor problem due to high-dose garlic (for chronic dysbiosis), and it worked.
