it sensed my low T3, then it should be sending out TSH to tell my

thyroid to make more thyroid hormone. Normally a low TSH would mean

*hyper* thyroid or too much hormone, and that's certainly not me! So

something is definitely whacked, and I'm not sure if it's because of the

Hashi's (thyroid antibodies), or if my pituitary is that poisoned and

not working right. I'll let you guys know what I find out.

Another possiblity is that there is more T3 around that hasn't been

measured - perhaps Reverse T3 - in this context measuring the total T3

amount might help to make more sense of what's happening. The body can't

use ReverseT3 but the pituitary reads it as T3 so the TSH will be low

and you will still be hypothyroid.

Reverse T3 is made from T4 in the liver - am not sure what triggers this

reversal, but toxicity is a good guess. If this is wht is happening, it

is counterproductive to supplement with any form of T4 because it will

just be converted into RT3 anyway. What usually helps is to supplement

with only T3 to bypass the conversion process - it takes at least a

couple of months, from what I've read on other lists, for all the body's

T4 to be used up and get rid of RT3.

Am not sure why, but often Prolactin levels are measured too - Prolactin

is made in the pituitary as well and may be out of range as well.

I would love to try the WTS but the only doc in my area (DC) who

is familiar with it is a greedy @#$# that charges hundreds and

hundreds of dollars. Most docs in my area are all out to make a

huge buck. I need to move.

i know you have probably thought of this Val but If you have a good

doc and take to him/her your " apparent low thyroid problems ie hair

is falling out/etc etc...ie paint the picture of low thyroid

including low temps and then ask/tell him/her that you wnat to try

the protocol, it may work...i mean its not like this protocol

is bump..its a pretty well accepted treatment

I know what u mean though with F'ing Quack drs

Thanks, Mike. There is a pretty good doc I was seeing around here

who had me on armour and HC. He's not listed as a 's doc but

from what I understand, this protocal is not that complicated, right?

He might be worth a try.

Val ,

you are right, it really isn't that hard once you understand it; My

doc gave me a handout which i can email to you if you like. I will

have to find it first though..

the site www.wtsmed.com obviously shows that Doctors are using this

protocol with good results, so its a peer reviewed process, if you

will. These doctors are all like lemmings anyway,

i had a very detailed posting a month or so back on how it worked.

let me know if you would like the handout

Mike,

I've looked over the website and I think you can download the

manual from there. So don't waste time looking for it. I

appreciate it your help. I would love for this to work for me. I

hate having such a cold body. It always seems like other people

give off much more warmth than me -- even my pets seem warmer than

me. I just want to be as strong as possible when I start chelation

again. This past year was awful with all the flu (2x!) and viruses

I got with chelation.
